Agreement F.I.R.S.T
Card Game
The Game that builds consent awareness through play.
Negotiating agreements and mutual consent is a life skill—just like reading, problem-solving, or teamwork. But too often, conversations about consent are uncomfortable, overlooked, or left too late. Agreement F.I.R.S.T is a fun, engaging card game designed to provide a forum to help children and families build their “consent muscles” through play.
The game is also designed to be thought and discussion provoking. Playing provides natural opportunities to discuss behaviours, boundaries, choices and respect.
Practice in a low-stakes environment builds awareness, making it easier for kids and adults to understand what consent is (and is not) in real life scenarios. It turns what can be an awkward or difficult topic into something approachable and fun. Players get a chance to identify behaviours, and make their own choices.
Agreement F.I.R.S.T helps kids learn the essential skills and requirements for getting to an agreement and subsequent consent. Without a Free, Informed, Responsive, Specific and “Talked About” agreement there is no genuine consent.
Conversations about consent, choice, respect and boundaries should not be confined to bedrooms, boardrooms, or courtrooms. Consent is a life skill that belongs in every room!
