About Us

At Agreement Works, we believe teaching consent doesn’t have to be heavy, awkward or reactive. It can be playful, engaging – and part of everyday life.

We’re an Australian-led social enterprise creating play-based consent resources that spark meaningful conversations between children, families, educators and communities. From interactive games to trauma-informed consent training, everything we make is inclusive, accessible and grounded in real-world experience. Because the earlier we introduce children to the language of consent, the more confident and compassionate they grow up to be.

Meet the team at Agreement Works.

Sarda Nana

Sarda Nana is the founder of Agreement Works, an initiative dedicated to building early consent awareness through play-based learning and early intervention. Her mission is clear: to empower children and communities with the language and tools of consent, ideally before harm occurs.

With over 25 years’ experience across policy, crime prevention, justice, disability, education, and community sectors, Sarda brings deep insight into the systemic gaps that leave people vulnerable to violence and abuse. Her work is grounded in trauma-informed practice, cultural diversity, and a strong understanding of power dynamics - who holds power, how it's exercised, and what drives meaningful change.

At Agreement Works, Sarda collaborates with subject matter experts to develop interactive, family-friendly consent games that support emotional wellbeing, cognitive growth, and social development. These tools make it easier for parents, carers, teachers, and community leaders to introduce consent into everyday conversations, helping children and adults alike to understand, practise and celebrate consent.

Sarda’s advocacy is shaped by decades of frontline experience, including helping establish the first Women’s Refuge in Wellington, New Zealand, and working as both a classroom teacher and adult educator. She continues to draw inspiration from social justice advocates, community leaders, and everyday people who stand up for dignity, safety and the right to be heard.

GABRIELLE HICKS

Lead Advisor

Gabrielle Hicks is a passionate advocate for the integration of mental health, law, medicine, and social justice – with a particular focus on advancing consent education. She has worked extensively with vulnerable populations, especially individuals navigating injury law and facing barriers within medical and legal systems. This experience has given her a deep understanding of how these fields intersect, making her an invaluable asset to Agreement Works.

As Lead Advisor, Gabrielle ensures that consent, boundaries, and legal accountability are addressed in practical, progressive ways. She draws on her expertise in policy, advocacy and mental health to simplify complex systems, expand educational outreach, and drive initiatives that support individuals and communities.

Gabrielle’s work is grounded in a commitment to health equity and systemic reform. She has championed better access to care for marginalised communities, including those experiencing homelessness. Her visionary leadership continues to shape policy, influence institutions, and spark the critical conversations needed to build a future where consent is central, respected, and upheld across all areas of life.
